My fiancee James has been out of work for some time, and just recently lost his step mom who was like a mom to him...so facing the holidays without her and without a job was tough for him. I am nearing the end of a bitter divorce and lost my job due to the stress of the situation...so needless to say, this made the day very special for my son and I as well. We were able to share our first Thanksgiving with James and his daughter, and didn't have to worry about a thing. A Catering Company with a Kick Written by Ronald Agger I have lived in Grand Haven all my life and I have seen some of the best things come and go, and I have eaten at many different venues in the area. I have been asked to write small stories on the different restaurants in town. To give the people a chance to savor the food right from the computer, and for some reason I must start with this company called Kicked Up Catering. My first experience with Kicked up Catering was during the Coast Guard Festival, and my wife and I were very hungry and we were trying to wait in line at Kirby Grill, but needless to say that line was too long and Christy wasn’t willing to wait, so we made our way down by the Grand Stands, and found this vender called Anthony’s Kicked Up Catering. Chris ordered the pulled pork sandwich and I had the fish Taco that at first was a little bit apprehensive to try because I have never heard of a fish taco, and I was completely blown away, and Chris had no words to describe while she forced the pulled pork sandwich in her mouth. I knew that I would have to find out more about this Catering Company. My wife and I were invited to event that was Catered by Anthony’s Kicked up Catering, and they had the whole lay out, and my wife and I seeing our first impression was just about perfect we had even more opportunity to savor more of Chef Anthony’s menu, and we were not disappointed at all, and over the years Christy and I have ate at many events, but these guys know their food, and when they say “It’s No Bull” it isn’t no bull, their food is great for any event, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking out a great catering company. It is almost like having your very own BBQ company right at your finger tips, and it seems that after treating myself to almost everything on the menu, I can safely say that they are at the top of my list of Great Catering Companies. What sets Chef Anthony apart from all other catering companies that I have had the pleasure of experiencing, is that fact that Chef Anthony puts so much passion into her company and does everything just about perfect. When I heard that Chef Anthony Donated some 600 free meals to the United States Coast Guard during the Festival I was taken back even more, and I have never heard of any company donating anything like that, it just goes to show you Chef Anthony is all about his customers, and not all about the money and it shows in his food, and shows in his happy customers.

We came to Grand Haven so my daughter could get married on the beach. We were not sure what to do about rehearsal dinner, she wanted it on the beach. We ran across Kicked up Catering on a web search, impressed by what we saw, called and set up an appointment. What a find! Anthony was great, we tasted the food and that was good too and to top it off he came to the beach and cooked for us. Thank you Anthony for helping make my daughters wedding memorable for all! I keep passing your name along to all I know in West Michigan.

I have been fortunate enough to have your food multiple times in multiple settings. I have yet to be disappointed after stopping in for lunch numerous times, attending various catered events, Salmonfest, Ribfest, Coast Guard Festival, Grand Haven Eastown Fallfest, etc. etc.! Not only is the food terrific but it is unique. Keep it up!!

I work at PST Small Engine Repair and we don't always get out to get lunch so it just makes sense for us to call Kicked Up Catering. I have used these guys a number of times, and I even had them cater my Thanks Giving Dinner for my family and it was one of the best dinners I have had in a very long time, and at a price that was comfortable. I love the weekly specials because you just don't know what you are going to get, and my favorite is two dishes, the pulled pork BBQ sandwich and the chicken sandwich which is out of this world. I highly recommend Kick up Catering for everything you do, heck if I had loads of money I would hire this company and a full time cook!

I heard about Anthony's Kicked Up Catering from a PR blitz they did on WGHN radio. I went with a friend to try out lunch and check out Anthony's restaurant. I'm not much of a cook and asked Anthony to come up with some ideas for my son's graduation party. He provided me with some menu options and references. The reference I called had nothing but great things to say about her experience with Kicked Up. Anthony and his staff met with me at my home to understand layout and we made menu choices. We checked in with each other a couple of times right up to the event to discuss guest numbers, layout and fine tune the menu. They bent over backwards the day of the event with other misc. details as well. The party was a great success and compliments about the food came from many. Not only was the food great, but our guests enjoyed talking with the Kicked Up staff as they prepared, grilled and served food throughout the event. Anthony and his staff were able to help add to a fun and casual atmosphere. We would use Anthony's Kicked Up Catering again and encourage you to give them a try as well. Thank You Anthony!
