Kicked Up Catering was started in Grand Haven, Michigan by Chef Anthony Gonnella as a way to bring new ideas and interesting food to West Michigan.  If you looking for something with a little more creativity and updated flavors as well as delicious classic itmes made with fresh ingredients than give us try.

Chef Anthony was formally trained by Chef Robert Coe, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America (C.I.A) as well as former pastry chef at the Rainbow Room in New York City and Executive Chef at The Hilton at Short Hills in New Jersey. Chef Coe's passion inspired Chef Anthony as he developed his true passion for food during this time.

Chef Anthony has a strong background in Italian & Latin cooking as well as soups, sauces and smoked / BBQ items. All  items are truly authentic and smoked items are done in house (or on-site) using a mix of fruit and alder woods.

Everyone involved with Kicked Up Catering is a true "Foodie" with a passion for food and love for making people smile with our friendly nature and incredible dishes.  Chef creates weekly lunch specials every week to add a continuing selection of new and exciting items.  Everything we make is prepared from scratch.  We use only the freshest ingredients available and source the majority of them from local farms and business whenever possible

I heard about Anthony's Kicked Up Catering from a PR blitz they did on WGHN
radio. I went with a friend to try out lunch and check out Anthony's restaurant. I'm
not much of a cook and asked Anthony to come up with some ideas for my son's
graduation party. He provided me with some menu options and references. The
reference I called had nothing but great things to say about her experience with
Kicked Up. Anthony and his staff met with me at my home to understand layout and
we made menu choices.  We checked in with each other a couple of times right up
to the event to discuss guest numbers, layout and fine tune the menu.  They bent
over backwards the day of the event with other misc. details as well. The party was
a great success and compliments about the food came from many.  Not only was the
food great, but our guests enjoyed talking with the Kicked Up staff as they prepared,
grilled and served food throughout the event. Anthony and his staff were able to
help add to a fun and casual atmosphere.  

We would use Anthony's Kicked Up Catering again and

I just wanted to take a minute to thank you and your team for the
wonderful job they did yesterday with the large lunch order.  Everything was
wonderful and everyone wanted to know where we ordered the food.  I made
copies of the lunch pamphlet you gave me and handed it out to almost
everyone in the room.  

Also thank you to your team today who whipped out 8 more lunches for
me in 30 minutes.  It was a last minute drop in and they handled it
wonderfully.
